WHY GET INVOLVED?
Because in the heart of Fairfield County, there are people in need.

In Connecticut, 1 out of every 5 children are hungry or at risk of hunger.

98% of Bridgeport's new housing is not affordable to Bridgeport residents who need housing.

In Bridgeport, a rent of $1,200 a month or more means that:
   - 61% of all Bridgeport families cannot afford this rent
   - 67% of all African-American families in Bridgeport cannot afford this rent
   - 71% of all Latino families in Bridgeport cannot afford this rent

The Open Door Shelter in Norwalk serves over 2,400 meals per day, an increase of more than 300% since last year.

You don't have to look far to find people in need. It is just around the corner. Join the YWL and help make a difference.
