IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY TO THINK ABOUT HOLIDAY SHOPPING!
The 2011 YWL Holiday Market Returns to Waveny

Plans are underway for the 14th Annual Holiday Market sponsored by the Young Women’s League of New Canaan. This year the Holiday Market will be held on November 16th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and November 17th from 9am to 4pm. Holiday Market is known for its quality merchandise, energetic ambiance and – most of all – a great place for one-stop gift shopping. With 40 fantastic vendors in the beautiful setting of Waveny House, the Holiday Market is a great way to kick off the holiday season.  So mark your calendars, grab a friend and get shopping!

Many favored returning vendors include Suzanne Einstein Collection - a cutting edge collection of elegant, edgy and affordable jewelry and handbags, BabyBox - luxury baby gifts and children's boutique, one of a kind gifts from Everything is Rosey, and men's wear from Tailorbyrd. Some new vendors to the event include Hendra Rose - cashmere and fashion scarves, Patricia Funt Anitiques, Staton Sweets for goumet chocolate and Shardonnay featuring elegant gloves and unique limited edition evening bags.

The Holiday Market event will kick off with the Preview Party on the evening of Wednesday, November 16. The Preview Party is open to the public, but tickets are limited so get yours as soon as they are available! They can be purchased online at www.ywlnewcanaan.org as well as at M Milestones in New Canaan. Ticket cost is $45 per person that includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, re-admittance the following day, but most importantly, advance pick of all the great merchandise. The Market will be open all day Thursday with tickets available at the door for $10 per person. In addition to the wide selection of vendors, A&S Fine Foods will offer snacks, lunch and refreshments.

The YWL of New Canaan would like to officially recognize and thank its sponsors for Holiday Market, beginning with Karl Chevrolet, Pimlico, and M Milestones of New Canaan, the elite corporate sponsors for the event.

The Young Women’s League is also thrilled to name Connecticut Cottages & Gardens magazine as our exclusive media sponsor for the 6th year in a row.

This is such a fun event and all proceeds from the Holiday Market go to the YWL Giving Fund that benefits local charities. Each vendor donates a portion of their sales to The Giving Fund. Since its inception the YWL Giving Fund has granted over $1 million to local charities. Don’t miss this amazing event!

We had a wonderful time at the private Glass House Tour then off to the Roger Sherman Inn for Drinks and Appetizers! If you have not done the tour, you are missing quite a fantastic experience! The two hour tour was well worth it and living here in New Canaan, it is a great opportunity to see Phillip Johnson's masterpiece!
