Back by popular demand, the Young Women’s League of New Canaan is hosting our annual gala again on May 8th, and you are invited!
Come have a great time while raising funds for the Young Women’s League Giving Fund. Through the Giving Fund we support various community organizations located in the lower Fairfield area. Previous recipients of the Giving Fund include the Norwalk Emergency Shelter, Stamford Mobile Mammography and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.

Our eagerly awaited YWL Holiday Market is back for its 12th year! The ever popular Preview Party event on Wednesday evening will allow League Members and their guests to get an early jump on their holiday shopping while having a great time socializing. It has sold out the last four years so get your tickets early. On Thursday, the Market and Café will be open to the public and we expect record numbers. Over forty selected vendors from around the region will gather at historic Waveny House to display their distinctive merchandise for holiday gift giving. Enjoy a little holiday cheer and join us at the YWL’s biggest annual fundraiser which is sure to be the best ever.

On Wednesday, February 24th, from 7 to 9pm at Waveny House, the YWL proudly presents its annual fashion show. This is one of our most popular events.
Admission is free to all members and their guests. This is a great opportunity for new members to experience the types of fun, social gatherings the league is known for. Anyone interested in joining the YWL, or who may have a friend who would like to learn more about membership should contact New Member Chair, Jody O’Donnell at: ywlnewmemberchair@gmail.com.
This year’s theme, The Versatile Woman, refers to the many hats we wear everyday. The clothing featured will take us through day, sport and evening wear, including some ensembles with versatile looks, which may evolve for various events throughout a typical or not so typical day.
Cocktails and Hors d’Oeuvres will start at 7pm. Come sample an array of gourmet appetizers provided by Lemongrass, Rocco’s Italian Kitchen, Fabulous Feasts, A S Fine Foods and Garelick and Herb.
Several local and regional clothiers will be featured including: Dorothy Mann, J McLaughlin and Skirtin’ Around. Make-up will be provided by Benefit. There will also be a select number of discounted clothing items and accessories available for purchase during our cocktail hour. All proceeds will go toward the Young Women’s League of New Canaan’s Charitable Giving Fund.
