The YWL proudly supports many local
charitable organizations and volunteer agencies through funding and service.
For the upcoming 2019-2020 cycle we are focusing on children, with the
theme Today’s Kids, Tomorrow’s Future. With this slogan we aim to focus on projects and programs
impacting children in the community. We think kids can encompass a broad
array of issues, from nutrition to education, to mental and physical well being
just to name a few. If
you believe this theme aligns with certain project(s) being pursued by your
organization, we encourage you to submit an application for funding.
We ask you to be as
detailed as possible with respect to specific needs and their related
costs. The criteria we use to evaluate applications includes the

The general stability and quality of the organization seeking funding from the YWL.
The overall impact of the proposed project. Data on past success rates, number of people who will be helped etc. is always useful.
We welcome both large and
small requests. Grants are awarded with the stipulation that the money must be
spent in full within one year of receipt. The YWL Charity
Research Committee will meet in the fall of 2019 to begin our evaluation
process. We will decide final appropriations after our year-end fundraiser in
late May 2020. Funds will be distributed in June 2020 and all applicants will
be notified of our decision at that time. Please note that we only fund
program costs, we do not fund general
